Amberley Working Museum

Amberley Working Museum is a 36 acre open-air museum dedicated to the industrial heritage of the south-east. The museum contains a wide range of exhibits, ranging from transport-based collections, to industry-based collections. The museum is also home to a number of resident craftspeople, who work to traditional methods.

Coultershaw Beam Pump

This waterwheel-driven three-throw beam pump was installed in 1782 to pump water from the River Rother up to Petworth, 1½ miles away and 150ft. higher.
